Baby Quilt for Jonah

June 30th, 2012 | Posted by Emma in Quilting | Uncategorized - (4 Comments)

My small group (minus one) made a group project together (for the one) again…something we seem to do quite often for a group only a few years old. Brennan was so inspired by the fun he had Saturday and Sunday that today he wanted to make a quilt to celebrate it! (I so love that kid!!) Together we came up with a project so great, I thought I’d share it…. (more…)

I’m leaving tomorrow for a quilting retreat!!! I’m sooooo excited! I’ve had a very busy work week and even my evenings have been filled with meetings and things to do with my kids, so I am not as prepared as I would like to be…but I don’t care, I’m just going to drop everything, stop working tomorrow, stop worrying about the housework, bring as much as I can and just sew! The last challenge of season three was to play with zig zags. I had seen zig zags made with half square triangles and thought it looked pretty fun. I also just got a hand-me-down charm pack (Thank you, Veronica!) so I decided to use it for this challenge.  Lastly, I had seen this video from Missouri Star Quilt Company about how to make half-square triangles from charms….that’s how it all started.
