A Quilt for Brennan

I finally finished a big one!!! I started this last summer, so it was not a quick project, and I’m very proud to have finally finished Brennan’s “big boy” quilt. Not that he hasn’t been in a regular bed for a while, but this is the first bed-size quilt I’ve made for him since he has. It matches new curtains I made for his room last summer. (I know, don’t you usually make the curtains after the quilt?!)

He was a very patient boy through the whole process. He really did believe me when I said that it would be a very long time before I finished it and all through working on it.

When I got it finished, he didn’t want to bring it right up to his room, he wanted to spread it out on the floor like a picnic blanket and play on it all afternoon! Here are some photos of him and his quilt…

The quilt is a very simple pattern from Cluck, Cluck Sew – she called it Boy #2 quilt…which is hilarious, because Brennan is our Boy #2!
